As someone who builds across .NET, React, and Next.js daily, I want to break down why this matters, what Claude Code actually changes in your workflow, and how its new multi-agent Code Review feature fits into a modern full-stack development pipeline.

Why Terminal-Native Beats IDE-Locked

I tested this on a PR that added a new authentication middleware to an ASP.NET Core Web API. The security agent flagged that my JWT validation wasn't checking the aud claim properly — something I'd missed and my human reviewer likely would have too, since the tests were passing. The test impact agent noted that two existing integration tests needed updating because they relied on the old middleware pipeline order. GitHub Agent HQ: Running Multiple AI Agents Side by Side

GitHub's Agent HQ, announced in February 2026, takes the multi-agent concept further. It lets you run Claude, Codex, and Copilot simultaneously on the same task, each reasoning differently about trade-offs. Think of it as getting three senior developer perspectives on your problem at once.

I've used this for architecture decisions on a full-stack project where I needed to choose between server-side rendering with Next.js App Router and a traditional SPA with a .NET Minimal API backend. Each agent weighed in differently — Claude focused on developer experience and deployment simplicity, Codex emphasized performance benchmarks, and Copilot offered a hybrid approach. No editor plugins, no configuration files, no project setup wizards.

For MCP integrations, start with one connection that solves an immediate pain point. If you use Azure SQL, set up the database MCP server so Claude Code can query your schema when you're writing Entity Framework queries. If you use GitHub Issues, connect that so it has context about what you're working on. You don't need to wire up everything at once — one well-chosen MCP connection already transforms the experience.

For code review, enable it on a single repository first. Watch the review comments for a week, calibrate your expectations, and then roll it out more broadly. The multi-agent reviews are thorough but occasionally verbose — you'll develop a sense for which findings are high-signal and which are noise.

What This Means for Your Stack

If you're a .NET developer, Claude Code's understanding of C# patterns, ASP.NET Core middleware pipelines, and Entity Framework queries is remarkably good. The agentic coding shift isn't coming. It's here, it's measurable, and the developers who lean into it are shipping faster and with fewer bugs. Claude Code didn't just win a popularity contest — it won because it fits how experienced developers actually work: in the terminal, across multiple languages, with real codebases that have real complexity.
